Copicut Woods Play Trail

Copicut Play Trail is a 1/4 mile out-and-back trail. Inspired by the Wampanoag word Copicut meaning “deep woods” the design uses threshold and scale change to shift perspective in, up, and under. Turning interpretive into imaginative, the play experience reimagines the traditional trail map leading visitors to the traces, tracks, and hideouts of the big woods. Bending and twisting, our play tunnels are a dramatic entry into woodland rooms, a perceptual play that asks visitors to imagine themselves as woodland residents.
